If your washing machine stops midway through a programme, this can either be an intended part of the wash cycle or a fault with the machine. Look through the list of possible issues below to work out what might be wrong and then follow the advice to try to resolve the issue.

1. Check that you haven't turned on the 'rinse stop' or 'no rinse' function on your machine

Quite easy to do, but make sure any 'no rinse' or 'rinse stop' function is turned off or else your washing machine will stop before draining the water out.


2. My washing machine is not filling with water

4. My washing machine is overheating

If the washing machine stops during the wash cycle when the water should be heated up to the programme temperature, this could be because the water is overheating. 5. My washing machine is not heating the water

6. My washing machine is leaking
